October 2024- leaving Cuenca for Santa Rosa!

Hermana Vasquez and Fox in Cuenca...Hermana Tzep in Santa Rosa

Hey mom!! Okay this transfer has flown! We're halfway through and interviews are tomorrow and zone conference on Wednesday but its been super cool. The work here is definitely different, the coastal culture makes it quicker paced and the people are so kind. Im with Hermaja Tzep in Santa Rosa which is the twin of where I started my mission, Machala. Thats brought a ton of flashbacks and reflecting on everything thats happened in the past year. One highlight has been this cute Venezuelan family that we're teaching. The three kids are all super loving and will run up to you and give you a hug, walk holding hands, and always staying right next to you during sacrament meeting. They have the goal for baptism, we're just helping their parents get married and progress to take that step too. We had Angel and Franklins baptism this week!! They called us asking if they could get baptized a week earlier hahah and we were like for sure! We didnt have power and so we bought a bunch of fairy lights and put them up all around the room. That was super special. Anyway thats my update for the week

June 24, 2024- Tomorrow I turn 9!! (Cuenca)

okay, I know its been a while but I just wanted to give a quick update and let you guys know that I'm alive and thriving, there is so much joy in missionary work. Everyday we are so blessed to see miracles surrounding us.

Right now I´m in Cuenca, we had transfers about 3 weeks ago and after 3 transfers in Loja I moved here and am comps with Hermana Vasquez. Shes from Bogota Colombia, and everyone wants her accent including me haha. Shes seriously an angel, we lived together in Loja for 2 transfers in the same house so its been super fun to finally be comps with her. I graduated and now Im in a ward! In loja it was just a branch but we were blessed to see so much growth during my time there. My last weekend there we were able to witness the baptism of a family we had found 2 transfers ago. I have such a special place in my heart for this family. The dad, Carlos, his wife Paulina, and their daughter Daniela all got baptized. There are people in your mission where you know youre there to meet them specifically. This family was one of them. It was absolutely amazing to be able to watch them progress and truly see the joy and blessings that the Gospel brings in their lives.
Here in Cuenca its been a rollercoaster. Added responsibilities as hermana lider has brought more stress but more opportunities to be influenced by the spirit and serve. Ive already learned so much in these short 3 weeks but its been incredible.
We got to paint the house of our friend Giovanni who has the purest heart of anyone youll ever meet. Teaching him has also brought so many amazing spiritual experiences. I told have time to write all the miracles that we see daily but I can testify that the Lords hand is in the work. He literally carries us through our days and it is such a privilege to be able to work for and with Him.
I hit 9 months tomorrow which is absolutely insane, time has absolutely flown. I cant imagine anywhere else I´d rather be.
